I got drafted out of High School. U.S Army 1970-73. MOS at the time but got changed was 78B20 i think. I have forgot a lot of things over the years about the Military. My Company thought a few of us should work with the Green Berets. I'am glad i served, i wouldn't have joined if i wasn't drafted. I wish my dad would have talked about Vietnam more. He shared some snippets but was pretty bitter, especially after gulf war vets came back as heroes but him and his fellow vn vets were baby killers, etc.
He was USAF radio guy and told me about the “Saigon drop” to avoid small arms fire. He hated to fly since he came home in like 1966.
