For those not aware Canada is turning into a shithole country where car thieves are released on bail within hours, if they are even caught (most aren't).
Police do not even investigate. They just take the information over the phone, log the information and go about their day.
Insurance adjuster said they will wait 20 days to see if it is recovered (very unlikely) and if so they will have it inspected and repaired as needed, otherwise after 20 days I will be paid market value for it.

The way I see it is if the thieves did it, then it has been done before. Maybe call some people (whoever they are) and figure out how it was done for further prevention.
