For those not aware Canada is turning into a shithole country where car thieves are released on bail within hours, if they are even caught (most aren't).
Police do not even investigate. They just take the information over the phone, log the information and go about their day.
Insurance adjuster said they will wait 20 days to see if it is recovered (very unlikely) and if so they will have it inspected and repaired as needed, otherwise after 20 days I will be p[aid market value for it.

Dam man sorry to hear that.
With that said if your car is found after they get done with it its probably better to get a big check, get a new one.
