Service steering warning came up on da Caddy the other day.
Following the service manual troubleshooting found the abs module bad(beats the rack whew).
Had a spare module so tried it today, hour and half to remove and half hour back together. Blown capacitor in it. Error gone but I'll hook the tech2win up tomorrow and calibrate the magna steer. One bent bolt and one missing bolt so as they say... Somebody was there before me, which having owned since 30k must have been very early on in it's life. Had to run a tap into 2 bolt holes which was a blast and took half an hr.
I can repair the old one if can get the goo the use out and find new goo.
It will be nice to have power steering in parking garage this week at dr appt.
Speaking of which the meds they are/will be giving me have some real nasty side effects such as loss of muscle mass and basically no energy. Alot of guys never regain muscle nor get energy back even after stopping treatments. I was warned that regular and alot of exercise will be needed. Good thing I seldom lay around and stamina is about back to normal.
Not gonna lie if those side effects are very bad I will stop the meds or they will change them as to me that's not a very good quality of life and thus what's the point then.
