It's fairly common to burn the underbrush off to prevent large fires. Unfortunately seems about 10% plus of "controlled" burns get out of hand. It was very dry air here yesterday not real prime burning time. The area they burned is more swampy than anything. It's a flood area and If it'd been a wet spring it wouldn't have burned much
They got the dozer stuck trying to knock a burning dead tree down. They didn't leave until around 10.
