Default Remote jumper post

My '74 Fiat Spider has the battery mounted in the trunk, on a shelf just behind the passenger compartment. To jump start the car is a royal PITA. First you have to unbolt a dress cover, then the terminals are on the front side of the battery and unreachable. So you have to unbolt the battery and slide it rearward to access the terminals. Then the terminals sit down in recessed areas so they are tricky to access.

To make this process easier, and provide an easy way to hook up a trickle charger, I installed a jumper post under the hood. Cost me under ten bucks since I had most of the materials.

The holder for the terminal is made out of black HDPE sheet. I like to work with this material because it cuts and drills like wood.
