When Kurt was at Phoenix Performance, he showed me the "rules" for working with the carbon fiber rotors. Approved tools were required, mandated procedures plus NO sharp tools or impact on the carbon fibers rotors plus only approved aerosols could be used.
Example, if the c/f rotors were dropped or unapproved fluids used on them, they were to be trashed at a cost of over $2K EACH ( price is from 5 years ago )
