Either pressure sensor or board most likely. He called the guy but furnace so old he's afraid they'll refuse to work on it and cost him a fortune to replace. I should be there now actually and most likely be able to fix it even just throwing parts at it. Looking for board for it....
Morning all

Just had my 39 y/o 80% efficient furnace replaced last month. Worried about it's usefulness, finally said F-it, and had the man replace it and the AC unit. Over that 39 year period, the Ignition module/board failed about 26 years in. Other than that, noting else failed. When removing the old unit, installer told me the original heater core had 3 cracks in it. New unit is 96% efficient
multi-stage fan.

Good luck to your friend. Elbow injuries are the worst.
