Agree. I lived in Tahoe 22 years. Some of the most beautiful hiking in the world. I backpacked many miles of the Pacific Rim trail. Don’t forget a hike up Mt. Tallac!
Most complaints are the long winters. I liked skiing so it didn’t matter.
