My smoking started and ended on the same day. One summer day in 1959, when I was 11 years old, two cousins and myself scraped together $.17 and bought a pack of Lucky Strikes. We found a safe spot in the woods and proceeded to smoke them one right after the other until the pack was gone. Needless to say that did not end well.
And that was the last cigarette I have ever had.
