That's why hobbies are so great, nearly essential - like our car hobby....it can extend the perception of time; its called "subjective time dilation" and occurs during intense focus on a task... I have a relative, 75 years old parked in his Lazyboy and watches MSNBC news repeat itself for hour after hour. Pitiful.
The brain records time based on the intensity and frequency of memories and tasks stored..
I just took up the piano at age 72.
