Then you could lub the bendix with a small copper tube as well. Just pull a starter bolt and bend the tube as needed.
To jump the solinoid turn the key on then connect the big nuts on either side. Use something heavy duty, pliers handles work well. It will burn them a bit if not your battery is to low,
Edit make damn sure it is in neutral.
