It's crazy that a government would let civilians have a military grade assault weapon like the AR-15. Australian did a mandatory assault buy back years ago. The New Zealand president mentioned today the NZ will change it's gun laws. Think they will follow Australia's lead.
Let's look at some facts

From the late 1960's until the mid 1990's crime rates soared.
From the late 1970's to the mid 1990's mass shooting rates doubled
From the late 1960's until the mid 1990's gun laws got tougher
From the late 1960's until the mid 1990's gun ownership rates went down.

From the late 1990's to today Gun murder rates are down
From the late 1990's to now mass shooting rates have remained stable
From the late 1990's to now gun laws have gotten more citizen friendly
From the late 1990's to now gun ownership rates have gone up.

There is NO correlation between access to guns and higher crime rates.
There is a very high correlation between access to welfare and the enabling of single mother households to significantly higher crime rates.

There is a significant correlation between mass shooting rates and the changes in involuntary commitment laws.

But you keep blaming the gun, not the failed culture of Welfare or the failed SJW programs of de institutionalizing the violence prone mentally ill.
