When my mother was born her parents only spoke Polish. When the oldest started going to school they were never allowed to speak Polish at home so the parents could learn English.

They went from living in a railroad flat in the Bronx to a nice home on LI in thier lifetime.

Also Common language means they are assimilating. It's time to get rid of the moronic "Multiculturalism" and move back to the crucible of the melting pot. Constant pressure for both the dominate culture as well as for the new emerging cultures. What survives makes us all stronger.
