I agree that all should be trained , the truth is most jobs in the military don't require weapons proficiency. "As needed" training is the norm. I currently have 100+ Airmen working for me. All are basic weapons trained and receive additional training should duty requirements dictate. However most of them simply do not have the skills to carry on a daily basis.

What does that say about the average person carrying if military people don't have the skills?
