IMO the best thing for fat loss... is a "fasted" cardio. Just hit the stair climber for 30 mins before you eat breakfast.

Finally broke the plateau though. Averaging 1650 calories per day.
I do some resistance training 2-3 times a week.
Over the past month I'm averaging 1 lb lost per week, so I'm still hopeful I can get close to 172 lbs and 50 lbs lost by the end of 2014. I'm on track for 175 assuming no more long plateaus, of course I'm bound to hit at least 1 more.
Feels good man.
As for "fasted cardio" I do this every AM taking my son for a walk in his stroller for 30 minutes, 25% steep incline, 25% decline, 50% level, brisk pace.
