Why yes... Yes it is.
I just got it back from my luthier this morning and it's beautiful for an 1983.
You too can own it for $1800 + shipping. My buddy is gonna take some professional pics next weekend and it's going on Flea-Bay for $1700 in a no reserve auction..
Great video ! :seasix:

This list of top ten guitars is far more accurate than any list of top ten guitarists I've ever seen, that's for sure.

Not really sure if I think the LP should edge out the Strat.

Yeah...its a typical Chevy vs. Ford argument.

I would of went with a tie on those two.

True, but they seemed to be talking about electric guitars.

I'd almost have to give it to the Strat for a coupe reasons. The LP had really fallen out of fashion until Clapton recorded Beano. And it happened again in the 80's when everyone was playing super-strats. I'm not gonna claim Slash saved the LP but G 'n R popularity gave it a big boost again.

And the Appetite LP was a replica.

They both have their redeeming values.
I'd say that the LP is built way better and the fit & finish puts the LP over the Strat.
They both sound great.

PRS should be on that list

What model?

marrepka 05-16-2016 7:58am

Any of the Custom 22 / 24 variants I would think.

Probably the most logical choice if PRS is making the list. Fit and finish on these humiliates anything Gibson puts out including the high dollar Custom Shop offerings.

Well, you can split a humbucker, you can't double a single coil.
There are lots of songs people would swear are a strat that are done on an LP.
That being said, the double cutaway of the strat gives you lots of neck access.
