A visitor in the wood shop
found this yesterday, checked again today and now it has 3 little blue eggs. if a nest has eggs, it gets to stay until the little ones are out of there.

I hope the mother robin comes back to sit on the eggs while you start coming in and out of the shop. Sometimes they'll get spooked and not come back.:(

Wife feels kinda sad in that mommy/daddy not coming back to that nest with you around....oh well.......we delayed moving a Stag Horn Fern from the back overhang where a nest was until the one surviving bird has hopefully flown the coop, and so it's out front this AM.....empty nest for a few daze.....
:issues: |
Very :cool1:
I have a family that nests in a hole on the gable end of my barn. I look forward, every year, to seeing the babys drop and take off. |
there are normally other nests in the rafters, because the little buggers poop all over my wood stored below them. :issues: eh, it cleans/sands off.

Don't cook them, raw eggs have higher protein.

My father in law Timyo would wait for momma bird to come back and cook her, with a side dish of soup with the eggs in it.
And I'm not kidding.. :yesnod: He gets small birds like a sparrow with a sling shot sometimes and cooks them up like a little bitty chicken. Hardly worth all the work for such a few small bites if you ask me. |
