Wife got hit by a tow truck that ran a red light.

She is very sore and bruised but apparently no serious injury. She was very lucky. He hit her so hard the Jag spun so fast the rear hit his truck also before he cleared the intersection.
Everybody be careful out there.

Wow! Glad she's OK. That's some serious front end/chassis damage, too.

Stangkiller 02-10-2015 9:44am

YIKES! glad she's ok though.

Y2Kvert4me 02-10-2015 9:46am

Wow, that was close to the door, too close. Glad she's OK.

I remember being in Traffic School years ago which was run by an off-duty LAPD officer. He said that one of his favorite things to do is to ticket tow truck drivers that pass him on the way to an accident.

Glad your wife is OK.

:iagree:

My brother's wife got hit at in intersection by an ambulance that didn't yield. Looked almost the same as your wife's car.

That's the first thing I thought.

Glad she's fine.

Dayum! Glad she's basically okay, but remember that whiplash is a sneaky injury. It can go undetected for years (until after the Statute of Limitations has run), and you can have problems the rest of your life. Be sure she gets checked by a competent specialist.

Jaguars are very strong cars. I got rear-ended in mine last year by an 18-year-old girl while I was stopped at a light. Her excuse was that she looked down in her lap to eat a bite of breakfast. Her Toyota Camry's front end was demolished. My Jaguar's rear end needed only to have the bumper cover painted.

She's lucky she wasn't badly injured! I'm glad she's okay.

.

:iagree: Absolutely.
I'd be making an appointment with a highly reviewed chiropractor within the week.
Not just any old name out of a book. Lots of poorly trained "crackers" out there.

It can be the difference between severe spine damage down the road.

12/15/12 Wife got hit HARD at 45 mph by a ex cop car, at a traffic light, she pushed forward into a minivan her neck pains have come and gone since then, she takes some of my ibuprofen, quite hard for her to sleep too....she was all black and blue but nothing 'broken' according to the ER....

just before last TG her son was on the way to work, '96 Silverado, someone blew a stop sign left front fender, lucky not the door, totalled the truck, into an oak tree.....bent the front end up like the car above.....

BOTH of these wrecks were caused by texting....you can't be doing 45 mph or blow a stop sign at speed like that so obviously they not watching the road at ALL......

Lousy damn 'nofault' Florida insurance laws allow this to take place....

friggin' illegals......:issues:

I hope she will be ok.

I have a strong dislike for (most) wrecker drivers.

They believe that they are emergency vehicles and drive accordingly.

MrPeabody 02-10-2015 12:30pm

Glad she's okay. That must have been a scary one.:yesnod:
