Anyhow, what's this piece called, how much does it cost to replace and what's behind where I put the red dots? I am thinking of putting 2 switches there fyi.

Knee bolster, and I don't recall anything being located there, but it's been a while since I had mine off.

Panel is not that difficult to remove, it can be fished out w/o having to remove the radio bezel which overlays it by the ign switch. ( here's how )
Or, just pop out the hatch button switch and stick your finger in there.

Not an expensive part to replace if you can find from a salvage parts source or wrecked car part-out, maybe $50 tops.

If you were to 'replace' it you would have to replace the vinyl piece and the lower knee bolster since they are 1 piece.

I melted/broke the tabs on the back when I did the micro-suede mod and it was a PIA to get re-attached to the knee bolster. I thought I had pics online, but I think I deleted it.

Thanks guys. Seems kind of dumb that it's part of the knee bolster but now that you mention it I do remember taking it off to install my hyperflash harness.

Mines in the ashtray. I ordered the C5 specific switch plate. 4 switches, plus the center plunger that controls the purge. I have it wired so that all I have to do is hit one switch. This activates the microedge, and that controls everything. Fuel, N20 noids, everything. :thumbs:
