Damn, I'm surprised he wasn't decapitated or something. There was a lot of shrapnel flying by his head. Then the tire started coming at him. :sadangel:

Those are bags actually, they put them around the cars that way when they tow then away the gas, oil, coolant etc does leak everywhere

Dan Wheldon taken by air... Pippa Mann and JR Hildebrand going by ground to the main hospital.

We saw Pippa Get out gingerly but doesn't appear to be too serious at first glance for her. Still no word on what Dan's injuries are or how serious.

No word on the race broadcast, but wikipedia just updated to say Dan Wheldon died... hopefully that is not true.
