Wow, that sucks. I'm skeptical of class action suits and people looking to point the finger.
Seems the difference here is a TSB issued by Mercedes that was not covered under warranty.
Only unclear issue is how they define "premature" wear. Did the cam fail at 50k or 100k?

Either way, I'm surprised Mercedes wouldn't stand behind their almost flagship product.
