With another VERY close friend. I'm headed to NY tomorrow for another good friends wedding and it looks like now I'll be spending my time consoling him and trying to convince him to not do something stupid.

What was supposed to be a great weekend get away for the wife and i with friends has gone to shit. :(

At least I will be able to be there for him.

He and his wife are supposed to go on vacation this week. He's talking about canceling it. I'm trying to talk him into flyingback with me.

I know everyone's first reaction is to divorce or ditch the bitch, and depending on the situation that may be his best course of action. But people have made it through infidelity and come out the other side stronger than ever. It just really depends on the people and the situation. All you can do is be there for him and be supportive of him.

And try not to say anything too bad about the wife.
If they make it through this or break up and get back together later, your friend will remember every nasty thing you said about her and you will be the one on the outs.
