I went to the B-J auctions in Conn at the casino a couple times. It was very interesting, unfortunately that COVID nonsense got in the way and the casino took the time slot for another function.

I did get a chance to spend about 10 minutes talking with Cristy Lee when a camera broke down and they were waiting for a new one. Nice and friendly to talk with, I got to admit she was shorter in person than what she appears on TV.:Sexy:

Barret Jackson type auctions have ruined the car industry. It makes people feel every car they have is worth a shit ton more than they are really worth.

Cars are worth what people are willing to pay for them.

But, when someone wants to buy a car to drive, restore and it is has been sold because someone paid stupid money for it, it causes price increse.

Yes. And solid marketing by these auction companies who have turned the auction itself into an entertainment venue. More interest and more people mean higher prices. Add a bunch of wealthy intoxicated fools out to impress the trophy wife and ...wolah!
