Got the Rona

Went to NJ for Thanksgiving, last time we were there for Thanksgiving was 2011. Symptoms started the day before we left, really came on strong on the 9 hour ride home. Miserable.
Wife has got it worse than me, but I seem to be getting a bit worse today. We are on Paxlovid treatment, hopefully it helps. First time for us both getting it.

That is all, going back to sleep.

I got it at the end of July helping my brother move from Vegas. Good thing Biden said it was over in 2022. Paxlovid worked for me. About 2 miserable days, and 3 or 4 after like a mild cold. Hit me like a sledgehammer, though. Second time, first was March 2020.

Bruze 11-28-2023 3:20pm

Paxlovid seems to work fairly well, but has a high rebound rate. So you may get covid again.

Anjdog2003 11-28-2023 3:23pm

I guess no one gets the flu anymore.

Aerovette 11-28-2023 3:25pm

Should have gotten the vaccine. Then you'd only have Covid and feel like shit and want to go back to sleep.

Egnalf 11-28-2023 3:32pm

Sick, November, cold. sounds like the flu, which disappeared and roared its head as covid for a while, but is now back just testing as covid. Soup, salad, and sleep, you're good.

Swany00 11-28-2023 3:35pm

I got sick 2 weeks ago today, still have congestion in the am. Nasty head cold as far as I'm concerned, not like our gov't is trying to find the root cause of covid, though we all know where it came from.

That rebound is a bitch, it was worse than the Rona last year.

I just read today, NJ is the hot spot in the US.

Paxlovid works, almost immediately. Ignore the taste, it'll go away a few hours after you stop taking it.

Got anything good to sell?

SurfnSun 11-28-2023 5:06pm

Sorry to hear but at least you got the weak version of it. :D

It's mostly an annoying cold/flu anymore.

 to feeling better!

Aerovette 11-28-2023 5:28pm

Got so tangled up in the humor, I didn't give get well wishes.

Maybe next time. :D

j/k Hope you get over it quick.

Got Ivermectin/Quercetin/Zinc/Vitamin C/Vitamin D, etc.? If not, get it.

Taking a Pfizer drug after the previous Pfizer drugs didn't work......maybe not the best move.

Get well soon!

Make sure you have good insurance (for Paxlovid), one of my friends got covid on a ship and since it was technically International waters, they charged her $750 for it.
