[CFB] Week 4 2023 College Football Game Day Thread [/CFB]
WEEK 4
Friday Night Football:- Wisconsin @ Purdue (7pm EST on FS1)
- N.C. State @ Virginia (7:30pm EST on ESPN)
- Boise State @ San Diego State (10:30pm EST on CBS Sports Network)
- Air Force @ San Jose State (10:30pm EST on FS1)
Week 4 has some incredible games on tap for us. Saturday at Noon we get a huge ACC showdown between #4 FSU and Clemson. With their loss to Duke, this is all but an ACC Championship & College Football Playoff elimination game for Clemson. For FSU, a chance to pad their already impressive resume (with that BIG win over LSU in Week 1), make up for last week's embarrassing 2nd half, and BURY the Tigers.
In the PAC we'll start to get a clearer idea of who's a contender and who's not. We have 3 ranked vs. ranked match-ups: Colorado vs. Oregon, UCLA vs. Utah, and Oregon State vs. Washington State.
In the SEC West - Unbeaten Ole Miss gets their shot to take out a wounded Alabama team with major QB issues. Like Clemson, Alabama faces what is all but an SEC & Playoff elimination game already in only week 4 of the season.
In the B1G we find out whether or not Iowa is for real as they take on Penn State. And Saturday night we'll find out about that team from Ohio as well . . . .
GAME OF THE WEEK: #6 Ohio State @ #9 Notre Dame
BIG-TIME road test for the Buckeyes, and an opportunity at home for Notre Dame to plant their flag firmly in playoff position. Notre Dame, unlike a lot of top programs, has no questions at QB whatsoever. Wake Forest transfer Sam Hartman is experienced and is lighting it up for the Irish. Does Kyle McCord have what it takes to be the next great college QB for Ohio State? We're about to find out.
