Need help getting a State bill posted here.

I have no idea how to post this proposed law here so someone please help. Massachusetts bill HD.5128 proposes vast changes to the way an officer can respond... No need to defund the Police if you neuter them.

Want cliffs? OK. No tear gas, pepper pellets or K9 against any perp ever. No force of any sort until "anti escalation tactics" have been used. If a citizen feels excessive force is being applied by any LEO, said citizen is cleared to assist THE PERP to stop the force application.

I could go on but please take a couple minutes to read what may become a template for Police response in "the new age". I for one am appalled that it has come to this.

WTF are we changing the rules to benefit CRIMINALS?

Bill 06-27-2020 9:08pm

1) Approach criminal

2) Ask criminal if he is willing to be arrested

3) If the answer is no, apologize for disturbing the criminal, get back in your car, leave, then write up the incident, simply checking the "refused arrest" box

4) Turn in paperwork, on time, and in triplicate

Clearly, the only sensible solution.

Translation...expect a shit ton more tickets to be written. This will be their alternative to answering other calls.

"Sorry dispatch, I'm not available. This ticket is going to tie me up for an hour or so".

"Please dispatch the Block Captain... I'm outta here!"
