Google fiber/whatever
Who is in line to get new internet that europe had years ago? All this talk about fiber makes me wonder if it will really be worth it.
|
I'm up to 150mbps through comcrap, it used to be 50mbps for a little more money, so fiber is forcing the competition to up their speed and lower their rates. There's gb internet in the next neighborhood over, as 4K video grows in popularity, I suspect the gb Internet will prove worth while.

I'd be all over fiber if it was an option.

I have fiber at home and it is nice. Wish Google came out here but their service stops about 1.5mi from the house. Saw the trucks out this way last week laying fiber. I sure wish I could get some Google.

I have had fiber here for about 10 years now. Fios. With Bacon boy. Would love me some Google. :seasix:

I kinda doubt they will ever run phone lines out here.. When we checked they said they need 400 subscribers before they will. Heck I'm not even sure if there are even that many huts out here.. |

We use the Globe prepaid 3G now. Right now the modem we have which also gives us wifi.. rarely works lately, but using the USB stick with a long extension gets by pretty well. The only problem with that is sharing.. I'm guessing it's just the time of the year and the wind lately, and signal for it will work again. somedays it does for awhile, some days not at all. :cert: |
Google Fiber
(sounds like a breakfast cereal) |
On September 10th, 2015, Google Fiber announced they are exploring an expansion of service in Louisville. I would definitely get on if it happens.
