Haven't had one in over a decade. No xmas in this house.

Stevedore 12-06-2015 7:45am

No tree here. We stopped a little while after the kids were grown & moved out. I keep thinking of setting one up with my 1950's Lionel trains running around it for when the grandkids come over, but haven't yet. I don't think trains are as popular with kids as they once were anyway.

I will date myself with this but does anyone know what a Putz is?

That is our Christmas tradition:dance:

We ended up with a Balsam rather than our usual Frazer this year. We couldn't find the right size in the Frazer.

No tree around here anymore, but we put out my father Christmas ceramic statuette on the table. Pics when I put it out.

Hey Tim, what's with the floor in that pic?....water damage? :(

Our floor is still just concrete and have not got around to putting down ceramic tiles yet.

I will get around to it someday I hope when we have the extra budget.

Now that you mention it that whole living room area is stained up from water after the 2013 Typhoon. the whole house was completely flooded after the roof was gone, and in that corner where the tree is, there was so much water there I ended up just beating a small hole in the floor with a hammer and a punch so it would drain.

You should just paint it until then, like a garage floor...no? or can you get that type of stuff there? :bilmem:

I don't want to paint it as then the concrete wont stick to it when we tile.

I can live with it... It doesn't bother me.. :island14:

The two downstairs bedrooms and the guest house we did a dyed concrete mix coat that is about an inch thick, when the tile gets done it will be the same height.

Kinda strange how it did that, I think it was something from the nipa that mixed into the water, and made it a murky brown color. the kitchen area was a different pour, and it did not affect it for some reason.

tree is out of the box and up and fluffed. will do lights and ornaments tomorrow.
