but I couldn't resist when I found this winter driver.

2011, v6, 4wd, black leather, MS synch, Sirius for 3 months, heated seats, 15K miles, balance of 3 yr bumper to bumper to Aug '14, plus 7/70 drive line. Certified through Ford. Winter driver in comfort. :) .
This is probably the first 4 door vehicle I've ever owned in my 40+ years of auto ownership, other than the wife's Chrysler van which has 2 sliding doors.

I traded my '01 Blazer ZR2 towards this. Upkeep/repairs were getting to be a regular occurrence/headache, plus the rust was taking over.

It's been awhile since I unloaded my last black car, a '78 T/A. Gave that to my son back in 1990. Back then, I told myself "never again'.

So, never arrived last week.
I put a class III hitch on yesterday. Waiting for a wiring harness w/converter to arrive during the week. Can't tap directly off the tail light wiring, as Ford uses like 32 ga wires in their harness. I've got to wire in power to the tap-off T-connectors at the tail lights, which powers the 1 amp trailer lights, but the signal still arrives from the tail lights. Stupid-ass set-up, but I'll live with it.
$12.00 harness is now $50.00. :kick:

I still have a black Harley, but I rarely ride it in bad weather (ya know, I might melt, plus, it takes hours to clean and is now stored for the winter)
My Dr. says I need more exercise. So, washing this black thing at least once a week should do it. Although, freezing temps are now the norm for the next 4 months. I might have to get a discount plan at the local car-wash.

Black is not a color, it is a career. That being said, we rented an AWD Escape a couple years ago when we went to Tahoe in early December. Great smaller SUV. Handled all of the snow with ease.
