Darcy is a nice song.

He was one of the greats. Taken from us way to soon.

Coming out of the closet are you? :D I like some of his stuff.

Never understood the fascination. I know I'm in a small group, he has sold a LOT of records.

Agreed. I like Neil Diamond a lot. John Denver, not so much, but I can tolerate him. The "Oh, God!" movies were just embarrassing.

He was not bad, but he was a bit of a flake. His Sierra club BS was too much. He was a super lefty pinko commie.

Neil Diamond. The Jewish Elvis? :D

like his early stuff, his later stuff got weird.

people get rich and famous and somehow they become experts on whatever catches their fancy.

I grew up in the Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, the Who, Golden Earring, Jimi Hendrix , Iron Butterfly, Steppenwolf, Blue Cheer, Grand Funk Railroad, Deep Purple, Free, Uriah Heep, Mountain, Bloodrock, Black Widow, Iron Butterfly and Steppenwolf's era.

Always liked to hear songs from Denver to break up the heavy metal monotony that I enjoyed (and still do) in my younger years.

Never cared for the Peter Paul and Mary folk bands.

Denver was folksy, but at a down home level, not at an activist level if that makes sense.

It was just a phase, he'd gotten over it if he lived.
