I have Dad's old vice.... Erie Tool Works Superior 43......about 3.5 inch.....
It been setting around unused for decades.....but about 100 years old,..... be interesting to Search the company..... :dance: |
I have a Craftsman 5 1/2 vice that I bought back in the early 70's. Still use it.:cert:

Oh that's cool. I actually have a very small Littlestown vice that is missing the base. I think I got it from a junk pile at the airport a number of years ago.
I keep it at my cabin and use it to spool fishing line on my reels. :) |
Vice = bad habit.
Vise = tool for squeezing things. Word. |

Here's a few of my vises.
The blue one on the milling machine is a 4" machinist vise ( import) The vises on the desk are an import X Y vise ( you turn the handles to move it front or back and left or right) plus a vise you can set on an angle. Precision machinist vise The cam action one is on my drill press. It can be stood on edge for use too. No 3 Morgan vise ( with the can for size) The big green one is a Rock Island no 74 ( Simpleman/Scott was kind enough to pick that up for me around Lancaster PA ) the red one is a Dunlap. |

The Dunlap looks exactly like one of my father's vises that I broke by using a pipe on the handle when I was a kid. |
