Why would any man meet with a woman alone?
given the current social status, why would any sane man meet with a woman who is not his wife? there is nothing to gain, everything to lose.
alone for 5 minutes to discuss the latest project for Skynet? you tell her she's doing great, suggest a few phone calls to make, think the meeting is over. a few days/weeks/months/years pass, she decides to make your life hell, finds the meeting notes in her calendar, and poof, she has an exact time and place where you were inappropriate with her briefly. of course, you deny it, but who will believe a guy now? clean out your desk, you are done. maybe you can stay married. sad. just when women started to be invited into the "good old boys club", that door is going to shut fast. sorry ladies, not worth the risk. |
I've actually thought about this lately.
Trouble is, anyone can accuse you. Even a man. |

a long time ago, i worked with a lady engineer. we went to a few social activities.
would not do that today. want to talk, let's have lunch in the cafeteria today. no way i'd be alone with a woman who was not my wife. even if i did nothing, i'm still out $$$$ defending myself. |

Anyone can accuse anyone of anything.....then your life is ruined and your out a ton of $ and that's all anyone remembers even if cleared.....:willy: |
i've been to a bar precisely 3 times in my life. little dive in GA, where i played pool a few times. didn't have anything to drink.
but....if i was at a bar, sipping my 7-up, and some lady sat by me and cooed "buy me a drink?" "sorry, not tonight" what is the upside? |

Seriously, most of my working life, I've worked for small family owned businesses with less than a dozen employees. Mostly men, and usually a few women in the office and sometimes in the shop. I used to tell them the day I was hired I would never agree to be alone in the building with a woman. They would ask "Have you had a problem before?" and I would say no, because that's always been my policy. They knew what I meant and never argued my point. This is nothing new, I've been working under those rules since the 70s.:yesnod:

The problem with all of this is the fact that there is no due process.
It's not even guilty until proven innocent. A man is accused and he is automatically destroyed personally and professionally. Even if they are proven to be innocent, 'oh well'. It's scary. I have dated women in the past that I know would have no problem destroying me if they got a wild hair up their ass to do so, and I didn't wrong them in any way...they just turned out to be certifiably nuts. :island14: |

And during the last elections all of the Democrats made fun of Pence for stating this exact same fact.

wondering how many men out there are trying to recall all or some of their 'one night stands', and wondering if any of those women will show up in their future to throw a wrench in their career plans?
|
This is why the MGTOW sites are out of control with men joining. The horror stories that guys go through are amazing.

If the premise is that someone is going to lie to ruin you, what does it matter if you meet with them or not?
You can't prove that a meeting didn't happen any more than you can prove that you didn't do whatever else you are being accused of. |

Think about it; as teen remember trying to get to "2nd base"?
How about third or a home run? Here's the real kicker: When you were turned down at trying to get to 2nd base (unclipping bra IIRC); did you immediately give up, or did you try again? Did you slow dance at homecoming only have her move your hand up off her butt because it was too low? |
When an old joke becomes reality:
A couple went on vacation to a resort up north. The husband liked to fish, and the wife liked to read. One morning the husband came back from fishing after getting up really early that morning and took a nap. While he slept, the wife decided to take the boat out. She was not familiar with the lake, so she rowed out and anchored the boat, and started reading her book. Along comes the Game Warden in his boat, pulls up alongside the woman's boat and asks her what she's doing? She says, "Reading my book." The Game Warden tells her she is in a restricted fishing area. She explains that she's not fishing. To which he replied, "But you have all this equipment. I will have to take you in and write you up!" Angry that the warden was being so unreasonable, the lady told the warden, "If you do that, I will charge you with rape." The warden, shocked by her statement, replied, "But I didn't even touch you." To which the lady replied, "Yeah, but you have all the equipment!" |

FWIW, I'm now almost 50 years married so that advice is a bit dated, but might still be valid! |

Because I don't want any witnesses.
Hope this helps OP. |

so i'd meet someone new to me, say hi, and the first question out of their mouth would be "so what do you do?" "i work for an engineering company" "well, it was nice meeting you" and they'd be gone. i couldn't help them in their career, as i didn't work for a congress critter, and therefore, it wasn't worth their time talking to me. happened many times. |

I had two different girls that were very forceful with me when I wasn't really looking for action ... but they pressed hard and got their way. Would I come out of the woodwork now and claim abuse by them if they were running for something? NFW! |
all these weasels now want more FBI background checks....the same organization that apparently couldn't uncover these accusers in 6 previous tries.
call the vote. |

Ms Ford is doing this strictly for political reasons. When she decided to move forward with her allegations, whom did she go forward to with the information? Not the Police Not the FBI She went directly to Democratic Party Nothing but mudslinging :seeya: |
They need to release the names of politicians that have had these kinds of situations that went away because of taxpayer funded settlements.

So now they are complaining about the environment they created with broad accusations of what happened years and decades ago.
If the event was that trumatic or demeaning, why wait to report it? You kicked the door hard and you made it slam shut. |
