My dad bought my mom the first 1967 Camaro in Orange County Cali.
SS/RS, red with the black rally stripes and black vinyl roof, the 2 top hood vents, 350, quad, and
automatic tranny. Within 3 months, my dad, myself, my brother AND my brother-in-law
all had speeding tickets with it!

That thing just flew!

Years later after inheriting it, I rebuilt the engine and discovered it had come off
the assembly line with a radiator for a six cylinder engine-that thing always ran hot
and the dealer mechanics never could figure it out.

My older brother bought the 442 ragtop in this photo new in 72. Originally a w-30 455, this is me (green shirt) and him putting in a 350 to replace the big block after he roasted 2 of them. He still has the car in his garage where it's been for at least 10 years. His son, my nephew runs Outright Oldsmobile.com, a websight dedicated to the Olds marque. He lives in Minnesota currently. :yesnod:
