It is official: I am now retired.
 

Sale closed last night, wire cleared into my account overnight. I am no longer a slum Lord!

Just finished all the paperwork and calculations, all that's left to do now is to write the checks for estimated taxes next month, and do the tax returns next year.

I am FREE!!!!!!

And friggin' exhausted! What a week, dealing with all the deal bullshit, and trying to get my taxes done with a recalcitrant brokerage house that refuses to get their 1099 correct. Time to crack the first beer of the day!

I'm hoping to sell our business and just go to the soon to be free Biden's community college and take a few classes so I can ogle the hotties.

I've been waiting for a chunk of property across from mine, to get redeveloped so I can retire or do something else. Another property the developer wants, owner's holding out so I don't know when or if stuff is going to happen. Meh, I love what I do and whatever happens, happens but I hope we don't get another credit crisis and I have to stare at the dirt piles across the street, for the rest of my life.

Taxes seem to be more complicated in retirement.

I work at a college and they teach a lot fo the nursing courses on this particular campus. Man....the "talent" is endless :smiliedrool:
