Hank Williams Jr. will give you $6,000 to find his grandpa’s shotgun Country singer Hank Williams Jr. is enlisting the public's help in locating his grandfather’s shotgun and offering a $6,000 reward to whoever can connect him with the family antique. Williams said he believes the Remington Model 11/48 16-gauge shotgun is likely somewhere in southern Alabama, an area he spent a lot of time with his “Granddad Sheppard.” Williams’ attorney Steve Smith shared the reward post on Facebook and said the gun was likely lost when Williams moved from Cullman to Paris, “possibly from his cabin on Smith Lake.” The musician said he wants “to pass that old Remington down to my children and grandchildren” and that he’s willing to offer “fifty $100 dollar bills” and an additional $1,000 finder's fee to whoever locates the gun, “no questions asked.” Smith said Williams was was also willing to arrange an alternate prize if whoever found the gun didn’t want the money. “If the finder would prefer a gun or guitar I'm sure that can be arranged with a proper certificate of authenticity.” Anyone who locates the shotgun with a serial number ending in 58111, is asked to contact Smith at 256-734-4721. https://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...hotgun-alabama Below is a picture of a Remington 11-48 |

He recently sold one of his cannon's to a local man. I think it was in the $200k range....He has a huge civil war collection and usually attends the Show of Shows.

Hank, why do you smoke?
Why do you roll dope? Why do you look for shotguns that you clearly don't own? If you knew where it was, it would be in your safe. Since it's not it's all a crap shoot, but at least you keep the faith. |

Pointing to the full size gatling gun
One of the guys on the Home Model Engine Machinist forum built a scaled down version in .22LR He did make the comment that if you remove the handle and attach an electric drill, you've made an illegal machine gun. He went on to mention the BATFE would be visiting you and then "providing you" with room and board for the next 10 years. :yesnod: |
