The new Z06 are amazing...

I took out the Z06 early Sunday morning for a leisurely highway cruise and discovered that it makes serious speed to 70 very quickly ..:hide: All I know is that my huevos don't have the fortitude that they use too...:sadangel:

My huevos would get me in trouble if I had one the C7/Z

snide 05-24-2016 2:47pm

My '09 Z06 was stupid fast. Kinda want another one. Maybe I should set up a go fund me page...

I've raced MANY C7 Z06's in anger and it's a thrill, that's for sure. :yesnod:

I'm scheduled to race a Prepped C7 Z06, Z07 in SSP in the National Championships. Prepped means race seats, more power, less weight, bigger wheels and tires....all around even more bad-assed!!! Can't wait.

My Z06 will be in a similar class as his car when it comes back to life, have similar horsepower, handling, and other features, blah blah blah, but it will be nearly 600 pounds lighter. :leaving:

Are the carbon brakes worth a shit on an autocross?

It was my impression that carbon brakes weren't that good cold

Part of the reason most of the top drivers have co-drivers. Same goes for race tires. Sacrificial lamb takes the first lap to put heat into both. The improvement in handling is notable due to the weight savings. Same reason these top drivers are spending huge bucks on extremely light weight rims. I'm expecting to see more drivers with carbon fiber wheels very soon. :yesnod:
