The Chevrolet El Morocco was a customized full-size car produced by Canadian businessman Reuben Allender based on the 1956 and 1957 Chevrolet
Rumor is 32 we’re built in 56 & 57. 20 of the 56s. One known to exist. 57s. 4-4 door sedans. 6 convertibles and 2-2 doors. The second picture is believed to be the only one in 57 to have factory air. |
I remember hearing of these and reading about them a year or so ago. There was a car show where two were present. I think someone here or there, posted pictures.

Seems he went to an awful lot of trouble to make those Chevys look like Cadillacs...

My dad talked about those cars back when they were new. I don't know how he even knew about them other than from magazine articles. Funny thing is I was 6 or 7 at the time and I remember him telling us about the 57 Chevys with Cadillac grilles and tail fins.

I never got into the fin cars. I guess it was cool styling at the time with the dawn of the jet age in all but today they look like over styled clown cars. Too excessive for my taste.
