As usual, I've been up since the butt crack of dawn, and was really productive. My mower needed attention, so I spent the morning rebuilding the mower deck. All new spindles, blades, belt, etc. Everything seems to be working as advertised. Now, I'm having a nice cold malted beverage!:datawiz:

Well, let's see.......Wiped down the Z today so it will look purty for tomorrow's mystery lunch cruise. Drove up to my local Top Tier station to fill up.
Buddy stopped over with his Callaway, cabin fever caught up with him, had to get out.

StaticCling 03-23-2019 5:25pm

Went to Wal-Mart in Simi Valley, bought a few things including an industrial sized jug of Glyphosate because the rulers here got their panties in a bunch over it being a carcinogen. Then I went grocery shopping. After that I used my new weed killer around the back and front of the house. I even made it extra potent as an FU to the "Man"

Then I studied a Chess game. Blackburne-Blanchard, London 1891. Kings Gambit Declined.

Black94lt1 03-23-2019 5:27pm

Raked the yard, damn maples and elms loose lots of branches in the wind storms. Then went shopping for a new Mustang for the wife, hit a local BBQ place, local craft cocktail bar, now doing laundry

FLEXjs 03-23-2019 5:40pm

Made Mrs Flex glad she was born a woman (:D), hit the gym for a bench session, washed the Z06, chauffeured Mrs Flex around to run some errands, then we went out for something to eat and a cold beer.

Typical Saturday...

Now: :cert:

MadInNc 03-23-2019 5:43pm

Weed wacked, blew driveway and sprayed 5 gal of weed killer.....

Now tending grill for 2 killer ribeye’s......

MEANZ06 03-23-2019 5:44pm

Went to work, now going to accomplish a nap :faint:

Stevedore 03-23-2019 5:50pm

Scrubbed & sanded the final section of our kitchen cabinets for painting as part of a kitchen update. New doors & drawer fronts, everything painted instead of stained, walnut butcher block top for the island. Another week or so & we'll be done. 2 at the most, maybe 3-4 at the outside. Certainly no more than a month or 2. Maybe 3-4 mos if things don't go well....

VITE1 03-23-2019 5:53pm

Played golf, drank a few beer posted here. I plan on having a few JD's tonight.

If you are near the Charlotte corridor, I could have been there in 5 hours for a ribeye!:seasix:

What did you accomplish today?

55 degrees and sunny today.
Took the WeatherTek mats out of the van and Escape, vacuumed both
vehicles, and ArmorAll'd both interiors.
Then I changed the oil and filter on the Escape,
and rotated the tires.
After that, did the Saturday errands with the SO
(food shopping, etc).
Picked up a few steaks that I'm going to grill in a half hour or so.

Busy day, I'm tired.

Absolutely nothing, but it's only 4:23 here.

:iagree:

OT at work since I'm working on a .mil job. Battery covers for drone. Starts out as a 2" x 8" x 11" long piece of aluminum weighing 17 lbs.

As seen in the picture, the inside is cut out using a CNC mill and carbide endmills. This is a recurring job where I work, when I started the run time for just this operation was 1 hour 20 minutes. I sped up the SFM ( cutting speed ) and increased the feed rate to where the the carbide endmills were within recommended parameters. Now if you keep the chips cleared as it cuts, this operation has just under 37 minutes of cut time. :seasix:

After the remaining operations are done, the finished part weighs exactly one pound.
