The boy and the kart came home in 1 piece. Screw staying locked in the house.

BOTY 03-28-2020 5:55pm

Lil chit  :seasix: nice.

MrPeabody 03-28-2020 5:58pm

I see no problem as long as there is a six foot lead on whoever is following.:D

RedLS1GTO 03-28-2020 6:14pm

Oh, and yes, those are legos zip tied to the pedals. :D

Because who doesn't put their 4 year old in 45mph go kart...

Datawiz 03-28-2020 6:18pm

Right age to start them. I wish I got GWiz in sooner.

Thanks man. I'd love to say it's all for him but I'm pretty sure I enjoyed it more than anybody.

The friend that helped me get everything together has an 8-year-old that's out kicking everybody's ass right now. Drew has been wanting to hop in and race for the last 2 years. 🤣

I had a racing type go kart when I was 12 up to about 14 or so. ( Dad traded it in on a Ruppster - the 4 wheel dunebuggy )

I raced go karts when I was 25 to about 30 and had a hell of a lot of fun plus the racing skills you learn are still in place today. I ran Briggs stock in med and heavy classes plus the KT-100 class in med and heavy.

I raced at Oreville Kart Club https://orevillekartclub.org/ plus ran a few National events that were somewhat local. ( puts the local big dogs in their place  )

It's good racing that doesn't break the budget

A competative kid kart costs damn near as much as my first car.

But compared to racing a full size car, it is affordable. :yesnod:

I stopped racing just before the karts went "high tech" with all kinds of chassis adjustments. Camber adjustment front axles just came out that year.

True.

It's all relative. The 8-10 year old karts are damn near full size car dollars (if you want to win).

Even the kid karts are fully adjustable, multiple engine packages, etc.

I think I have officially gone from driver to crew chief as of this afternoon. Crazy.

Have some in-laws that started in karts and worked his way up to the winged carts.
I was jealous.

Brings back memories. Here is mine back in 1976 with me when I was 21.

Lot of fun which explains why I did not have a lot of girl friends. All my money went to my 2 cars (1971 El Camino & 1967 VW Bug), dirt bike, street bike, kart, and a radio control buggy. Also had a slot car.

Don't have pics of the other stuff.

That's how I feel playing with our 3 littles. Once in a while they do things that remind me of stuff my brother and I did years ago.
Puts a huge smile on a Dad's face getting to relive that stuff.

Surprised we're still alive
Scott

I can't believe he is 4 already!

Norm 03-29-2020 11:44am

That is so cool. :seasix::littlered:
