OMFG Springer

I took a spin down to a H-D dealer about 100 miles South of me this afternoon to check this one out.

1999 Springer with 3476 actual miles. $12,990. You won't find a cleaner bike anywhere outside of my garage. This thing was jaw-dropping.

If I bought that thing I’d be bragging harder than Data about his monitors.

You should buy it!!:yesnod:

Always wanted a Springer. A friend just sold a VERY nice one for $10.5.

HD dealer in Bloomington, MN has a FXDWG that I would love to have! EVO - '90s model in black.

I don't know of this dealer. Are you sure it Bloomington?

Needs moar chrome.

:bill_daniels:

Not really, that's just the most ironic thing I could think of. Beautiful, and that's the bike I would want, except I would have preferred the second seat and sissy bar vs. the, uh, chrome luggage rack thing?

Chrome is currently kinda out, the blacked out look is in. I dunno. I like shiny paint and sparkly bits. :D

:iagree:
If it doesn't have shiney sparkly stuff what's the point

Torqaholic 09-18-2021 8:41pm

It has a rear bumper?

Three things that will NEVER go out of style:

1) chrome
2) jorts
3) body side moldings

I’ve never seen whatever that is before. I’m assuming it some sort of luggage thing? Beats me.

I'll have to search around again for it. Probably linked from Cycle Trader or similar site.

I was pretty well tempted to hop a plane and go up there. It was under $6k and under 20k miles.

It is a bumper. Known as the “cheese grader”. Not sure it has any actual bumper protection. More of an aesthetic piece of old school throw back.

Buddy I used to ride with had a springer classic similar to the one you had the pleasure of lusting over. Best riding Harley ever. Something about that front end is magic.
