Got a new tow rig...

A biggun...

It was time to switch up the inventory a bit. The wife and I did a complete vehicle change up in the last 2 months. We started with a 2012 Terrain, my 2012 Denali 3500, and the '02Z. As much as I love the 02Z, the reality was that it sat in the garage unused. I think I put about a whopping 1500 miles on it this year. I sent both the Z06 and the 2012 Denali down the road and came out with 1 massive mofawkin truck.

My wife didn't like the Terrain so it went out in favor of the new SS. For fun, I still have the SS and the race car so going fast is still possible. For the crappy Ohio winter days, we also picked up a TrailBlazer LTZ for close to nothing to beat up.

For the first time in a decade and a half... I am not a Corvette owner. :willy:

That is a big one! That should tow just about anything you want. Will it fit in your garage? :seasix:

Not even close to the house I'm in now... but we're actually packing up and moving today.

Next house hasn't been found yet, but it will have room for all of the vehicles. No more of this subdivision crap for me. :yesnod:

Where will you live until you find a house?

Looks like they could live pretty comfortably in that big-assed truck. :seasix:

Luckily I have a mother who goes out of town to somewhere warm for the winters and leaves a massive empty house.

Both are totally bad ass. I've only seen 1 SS in person, and they look fantastic.

Thank you sir.

I love driving the SS. I have driven the comparable Benz, BMW, Audi, Charger, etc. While I will admit that I like some of the Benz/Audi features better, I like the feel of driving the SS better than any of the others. It is a pretty massive car but it doesn't drive like a big car. It actually feels much smaller than it is. I have been on 2 road trips in it already... extremely comfortable. My only complaint is that I think they missed the 6th gear ratio. It is turning way too many RPM down the highway which kills the gas mileage. I didn't buy it for efficiency, but it would be nice if it didn't suck.

On the trip from Cincy to Louisville last night, the big truck got just at 19mpg @ 80mph so not too terrible, especially considering it is brand new. My single wheel 2012 got about 22 on that trip.

My '12 was black. I LOVED it when it was clean, which usually lasted about 13 seconds. I swore I would never own another black vehicle... about 5 black vehicles ago. There was an identical black 1 on the lot right beside it and it took everything I had to walk away from it. Luckily as a reminder, all I had to do was look over at my '12 that was just fully detailed a week ago but looked like it hadn't been washed in a year.
