looks good

Looks great except that raging democrat heifer Kathy Bates. Love me some Woody Harralson!

Hardluck 03-21-2019 4:20pm

Woody is just as bad as she is!

As with lots of things, I don’t always have my ear to the ground to see who stomps louder....however, I was unaware he was as well. As long as he keeps being a good actor, and keeps the political bandwagon shit at bay, I’ll watch his movies. Kathy Bates can go suck an egg though.

Disclaimer: Kathy never had a chance with me...the first time I ever saw her on tv was when my mom watched Misery when I was a kid. That ruined for her me, irregardless of her political standings. Those just add too much icing to the cake.

Deserves a bump...

Watched it tonight, it was very good. I'm giving it :seasix::seasix:

They even got Hamer's rifle right, Remington Model 8. They paid a lot of attention to detail. :yesnod:

Definitely worth watching!

It's next up for us. Monday night I guess. We don't watch TV on weekends...

Saw the movie and thought it was a bore. The movie "Bonnie and Clyde" surpassed "The Highwaymen". I also read the book "I'm Frank Hamer: The Life of a Texas Peace Officer" many years ago and it was a great read.

Have to sort of agree.....wife and I thought it was way to slow moving.....was disappointed ......expected better.

I thought it was good. I think Costner is one of the absolute worst actors ever, but he did a fair job.

Hubs and I watched last pm. I thought the cinematography in parts was very good. Think they did a good job keeping true to the events but it did move slow at times.

That's what really impressed me about the film. I felt like I was in 1934. The clothing, sets, cars were really very well done. :seasix:

I watched the movie twice. It is a GREAT movie!!

I love those biographical movies, I go on the www and read about the history behind it.

If you have Netflix you should watch it, also be ready they are going to raise the price again.

Is Netflix the only place it can be seen? I'm quite a historical buff when it comes to Bonnie and Clyde. While that movie was quite entertaining and had an excellent cast, it was not very historically accurate, but then this type of movie rarely is. I'm hoping this movie will be more so.

If you don't have Netflix, I believe they will give you the first month free, they will tell you upfront. Then cancel.

In the Bonnie and Clyde movie one thing they got wrong was that B&C captured Frank Hamer. It NEVER happened. Denver Pyle played Frank Hamer in the movie.
The first time Hamer saw B&C is when he killed them.
