MUD-CAR

watching some of the truck racing on the dirt at Bristol (fox sports), 2 laps in - RED flag. so much mud on the windshields that you could not see anything.

what a fiasco.

and they want to run 75 laps without a stop tomorrow for the cup cars.

bwhahahaha.......

they were saying that yesterday, mud too dry, so they added some water, now with the rains, the mud is too wet.

but you can't dry it out like you can dry asphalt with the jet truck. so you wait.....

someone at HQ is asking "who's idea was this???!!!" :ironchef:

That's what I'm wondering. I just watched a bit of the Friday practice replay and I'm not impressed. California and Michigan speedways are more to my liking.

MIS is a boring ass track, been there a few times.
Nascar literally throwing mud on wall and praying it sticks and saves them as the turd is circling the bowl.

read an article about the dirt: locally sourced clay, with a fair sand content, way more than natural dirt tracks in the mid-west, and thus much tougher on the tires (wearing down to the cord after 20 laps).

and now they want to start a 250 lap race at 9pm. your audience is going to go to bed before the green flag at the rate things are going.

If you what to see true dirt track racing go to Eldora speedway when the outlaw sprints are there. I have been to several Kings Royal with $100,000 to win. Those boys go all out.:cert:

They run the Outlaws at the local dirt track a few times a year. Grandview Speedway is a 1/3 mile dirt track and those crazy feckers are going way too fast for the track :cool1:

Going to make a stop here at Slinger.
1/4 mile, high banked short track. 10-11 second laps.
Might go.

Been to Slinger many times. I grew up in Antigo, and lived in Kenosha for 10 years. :cert:

The truck race was entertaining today.

The 4pm race should be good too.
