Where to stay in Las Vegas?

No, not me... Let's say you're thirtyish, single, professional, flying into Las Vegas for two or three nights before embarking on a road trip. Cost is an issue, but not THE issue. Ability to see things without using the car and worrying about a DUI is a priority.

Suggestions?

I stay at the Aria when I go to LV.

We enjoyed the Cosmopolitan. Not cheap but not as expensive as some. Decent location on the strip. For a few bucks extra you can get a balcony overlooking he Bellagio fountains.

I checked, Circus Circus is $20/night for a random two night stay beginning Monday, May 14. There's also a Tram/Trolley thingy that runs The Strip. I don't know the cost but maybe it's cheaper than a taxi. Then there's Uber which is cheap as possible. However, I don't know if Uber operates on The Strip.

Edit: I'm assuming a 30ish fella so...Hooters is $23/night. Maybe that's more to his interests and it's still near The Strip @ the intersection of Tropicana.

I should've clarified- he makes good money (conservative spender), is using Vegas as a jumping off point for a week long road trip. He'll have a car reserved, just prefers to drink, enjoy the sights, and not worry about getting home.

a good ride is just a google away....

I’d say The Wynn, it is very nice but not cheap and puts you at the far end of the strip

Have some fun, get out of the sun. Ride the Deuce! $2 one way, $5 all day. Ride the Deuce!

I know all about Vegas. I was last there in '66. Stay at the Sahara. Say hi to Frank, Dean and Sammy for me.:seasix:

My mom lives in Vegas, so I stay there all of the time, but when I want to be on the strip, have a nice casino that actually seems to payout at times, I stay at Palace Station. :yesnod: Fair prices for the strip. Older hotel, but still pretty cool. When I want to live it up, I get a huge suite at the MGM.

Same. Best hotel ever.

I get a tower suite. Even if I go alone.

:iagree:
Best deal out there for transiting the Strip

Last year we went out and stayed at Nobilo. It is a hotel within Ceaser’s Palace.
Japanese feel to it. Very nice

That is not being nice to dumps. I needed to take a shower after leaving Circus Circus when I worked for the parent company many years ago.
