Holiday Baking:Kiffles

Since it is the time of the year, I will post my kiffle recipe.

These are made with ice cream.

4 cups flour
1 lb butter
1 pint french vanilla ice cream

Mix the flour and butter like pie dough. Then add the ice cream and mix thoroughly. After mixing, make little balls, place them in layers in waxed paper between them and refrigerate overnight. When rolling the dough out, use a mixture of half granulated sugar and half flour to roll them. Do not be afraid to use this mixture to roll the kiffles in. Use your own filling. I use apricot, nut or lekvar.

Bake at 350 until the kiffles are slightly brown around the edges.
