Loki

As mentioned in Doug's thread, Loki has had liquid poops for the past couple of days. Laurie was worried, since our normal vet wouldn't be able see him until 8/6, Laurie called around. Found another vet who was able to see Loki today, so that's where we spent the afternoon.

He was very well behaved, although quite stressed out after we put a muzzle on him. He did not like that. :nono:

The vet was able to take a blood sample and analyze it. Bloodwork came out mostly normal, although the vet seems to think that Loki may have a tick-borne disease (I forget the name). Hopefully, that won't be an issue for him, as he has been taking Bravecto.

He'll be eating a bland diet of chicken and rice for a few days, plus some meds to help settle his stomach. Loki does have a history of stomach issue, and has had a bout of pancreatitis. Thankfully, that's not the case now.

Loki was very happy to get back to the house, and Nukka was very happy to have him back. :hurray:

Rocky Mountain spotted fever, don't think effects stomach.
Colorado tick whatever it's called maybe.
Have ypu found ticks on him?
That's about all I've ever heard or read about regard tick diseases. Kind of a hobby stuying them. I may have tick I'D cards on fridge also.
Mine got into a micro tick patch few years back(he escaped the bastard), hundreds of itty bity ticks on his leg and stomach. Looked like a rash almost, took hours to get all off.

Haven't seen a tick on Loki since we moved to PA.

Loki seems to be doing better this morning. At 9:00 last night, I gave him some chicken and rice, which he was very happy to receive. Nukka had some too, along with kibble, and she scarfed hers down too.

We actually keep chicken and rice frozen in vacuum bags for times like that. Warm in the Sous Vide and serve.

Maybe it was withdrawl symptoms.
Is Loki still hooked on drugs like your other dog(s).?

Glad the pup is doing better. Coincidentally one of my Dobies crapped all over the house last night and has had liquid poop this morning.
