I was 4 years old, living in Draper Virginia. It was a big deal, and I remember watching it on tv with my parents.

My folks had an early color TV set, round tube with top/bottom framed off by the bezel, 21fjp22 pix tube, Curtis Mathis version of RCA CTC15 old clunker type channel knob, with the fine tuning ring around it......VHF channels, watched on ch9 CBS......it went on for some time....as I recall it was about 1 AM EST when he stepped out......

I was filming the TV screen with Dad's 8mm camera, not knowing if it would turn out or not.....and sure enough it did, I remember watching that film about a month later.....I was age 25 at the time.......

Dunno what ever happened to that film......lost in the move out/sale of their house in '~92 or so......
