Had my annual physical yesterday

Looks like you guys have to put up with me for awhile longer. Everything looked okay.

Doc says she wants me to quit coffee and alcohol. I got a pretty good laugh out of that one.:yesnod:

The knee doc asked me how often and how much I drink.
I said every day. One to two glasses of wine, usually two. He hasn't met my wife yet.
He laughed and didn't bat an eyelash.:Jeff '79:
Most excellent news on the yearly. :seasix:

You've probably heard me kidding here that we are born with joints, cartilage, tendons, etc. that are capable of making a finite number of movements before they wear out. Don't waste it on sports and exercise. Starting to make sense now, isn't it?:leaving:

A woman celebrating her 109th birthday said the secret to her longevity is a tot of whisky.
"I don't drink but I have a little drop of whisky every night," said Grace Jones, of Broadway, Worcestershire.
She is the oldest person in the county and has received her sixth card from the Queen.

I'm thinking that the cause was me hitting the ground running off of a news truck with two 40 lb bundles of papers, numerous times a day when I was in my late teens. Apparently my right leg didn't mind it then, but it is now telling me to fk off.
Back then it was the best job in the world and paid really well for 1980
Add to that, snowmobiling, jumping into the lake off of the 6th floor of grain elevators, water skiing, etc, etc, etc,

I've been very fortunate. The only thing on me that hurts sometimes is a wrist that I broke in a bad skateboard accident. The only sport I played in high school was tennis, and only for one year. I thank my departed parents to this day that they refused to sign to let me play football. Every guy I know that played football still hurts somewhere from it.

:iagree: I was on the swim team. It was grueling, but I was ripped.

Swimming is probably the best form of exercise there is, being non impact. Some of my friends in high school played water polo. They used to joke that water polo is a non contact sport...like hockey.
