Looking into buying 81 vette. Can someone tell me what lights should be coming on as i start the car to detect any problems

As I recall, ALL the warning lights on dash should initially light up, then if a problem, will stay on when all other lights extinguish. Should only be on for a few seconds.

It has OBD1, and you can read the codes with a screwdriver and observing the check engine light. It will flash in a certain sequence.
